My Foot

Ok...so I am a little bored. I woke up earlier than I thought it was and now I can't go back to sleep...so naturally I pulled out my computer and am wasting time!!!

A week ago today I was playing a soccer game with friends at the Bow Fieldhouse. Great fun. I love soccer. There was two minutes left in the game and I had the ball and was going up to make a goal...or at least attempt to get it to someone who could make one. I kicked and then saw this flash...a guy from the other team had come up and he kicked at the same time I did... I got the ball...he got my foot. OWSER!!! I fell to the turf and didn't move... it hurt so bad. BUT I DIDN"T CRY!!! :) Sooooo...drove myself home... which was a feat because he got my right foot....and propped it up and iced it and blah blah blah. Monday...went to the dr. He had xrays taken and decided that it wasn't broken but it was sprained. RATS!!!! See...broken is a fix-it situation...ya put a cast on...it is there for a number of weeks...you get serious rubs from the crutches...you heal. Sprains...are a little more nebulous...who knows when you can walk on it again without it KILLING!! Who knows when you can do ANYTHING again without risking really doing more damage to the already smarting muscles.

And so... here I sit. Unable to do a lot of activity...sad that I can't play soccer with my team tonight. Sadder still that I may have to miss the play-offs next week if this doesn't stop bothering me. But thankful that I can still do things that are important and have a good attitude. Maybe I just had too much going on and God wanted to slow me down a bit for a little while. I'm just glad he has put people in my life who keep my spirits up and help me do things that I need to do!!!
