The Chinchilla

Yes folks... it is true... there is a furry little creature called a Chinchilla. I was conversing with my friend Alesia last night and we were talking about our psychotic animals when she mentioned that "her Chinchilla died somtime in the last 24 hours"!!! I was like "WHAT IS THAT??" Now you have to understand... I come from a family who thrives on the weirdest animals and so for me not to have already heard about this one was a shock to my poor little heart!!
I looked the thing up on Wikipedia and discovered that this little creature looks sort of like a rabbit only with a super long tail. They can't get wet because their fur is so dense that... it just doesnt work. They clean themselves with dust... "Little boys of the world unite... here is your hero!!!"
So this is a tribute to Alesia's pet Chinchilla... lovingly called Cooter. May he rest in peace!!!

Alana

How can one have so much love for someone so small? I haven't even gotten to hold my neice yet... and won't for a couple of months and yet I love her so much. Her life has affected mine in so many ways and she is barely 24 hours old.

Fall Days

Well... fall is upon us. *SIGH* I love the smells and the colors in New England. It is so pretty here. It isn't even too cold. Just beautiful. My mom and I took a walk on Sunday afternoon and took some pics. She took this one of me after I had climbed into the tree. This tree normally is in the water of the Suncook River but the river water level has been down. Anyways... I just wanted to share how much I love fall in New England... of all the places that I have ever lived... this has the best Autumn!!!!
